Roger Powell Interview

Roger Powell arrived at a Boston Hotel room in the fall of 1971, carrying a large, unwieldy package – an ARP 2600 synthesizer. Joe Zawinul answered the door, took a look and instantly recognized that a new world of musical opportunities presented itself.  “Just slide this fader here, patch this chord there… and stand back.”  Joe took the young, enthusiastic product rep’s instructions and created an electronic template that continues to bewitch and bedazzle.  Roger Powell tells the This Is This crew the whole story in his exclusive interview for the documentary.
